For my final major project at the University of Lincoln, I explored the impact of political correctness on free speech. Inspired by Orwell’s 1984, I designed a hypothetical exhibition highlighting its extremes. The project includes a poster series, a catalogue, and a film showcasing its content
A Silent World
The aim of the catalogue was to give a more detailed explanation of the exhibition and to expand the reader’s understanding of political correctness in modern society. A selection of articles provided examples and opinions to exhibit the extremities of political correctness and how it is damaging society’s future. I used black ink on black paper to create an illusion of this future - slowly disappearing into silence.
